UP TRAINS: RAILWAYS ANNOUNCES 92 SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS FROM GORAKHPUR TO DELHI, PUNJAB, MUMBAI; CHECK LIST
UP Summer Special Trains: The North Eastern Railway has decided to run 92 summer special trains from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur to Delhi, Punjab and Mumbai in view of growing travel demands during this summer season. These trains will run on various routes and will make about 726 trips to the major cities of the country.
According to Pankaj Kumar Singh, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, a plan has been developed by the Indian Railway to run a record number of summer special trains in 9111 trips during the summer of 2024. This represents a significant increase over the 6369 trips that were planned in summer 2023.
This year the number of trips has been increased to 2742. These additional trips have been planned to reduce passenger congestion from states like Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi.
According to the Chief Public Relations Officer, not only special trains are being run for the convenience of passengers, but arrangements for cold drinking water and fans are also being made. Security forces have been deployed in sufficient numbers. Passenger surveillance has been stepped up.
Summer Special Trains On Gorakhpur Route
01083/01084 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Summer Special will run in one trip from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on April 20 and from Gorakhpur on April 22.
01085/01086 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Summer Special will run in one trip from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on April 21 and from Gorakhpur on April 23.
