DELHI TRAFFIC ADVISORY: TRAFFIC TO BE RESTRICTED ON APRIL 21 FOR LORD MAHAVIR NIRVANA MAHOTSAV; CHECK ROUTES TO AVOID

Delhi Traffic Advisory: An advisory regarding traffic restrictions and deviations for Sunday's Lord Mahavir Nirvana Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam has been released by the Delhi Police. A celebration marking the 2,550th anniversary of Lord Mahavir's nirvana will take place at Bharat Mandapam on April 21 starting at 10 AM, according to the traffic advisory.

The Jain community is organising the event in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Culture. A sizable gathering is anticipated, which might have an impact on traffic on the roads surrounding Bharat Mandapam.

The advisory further stated that no vehicle will be permitted to stop or park on Mathura Road or Bhairon Marg, that general public access will not be permitted, and that any vehicle found parked on these roads will be towed away in order to ensure efficient traffic management in the area around Pragati Maidan.

The towed cars will be parked at Bhairon Marg's Traffic Pit, which is in front of Bhairon Mandir.

The advisory stated that there will be a diversion of traffic from the following locations: the Q-Point, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg-Subramanian Bharti Marg, Pandara Road-Subramanian Bharti Marg, and Purana Quila Road-Mathura Road crossing.

Additionally, from the W-Point to the Bhairon Road crossing, commuters are asked by the police to avoid Bhairon Marg, Purana Quila Road, and Mathura Road. It has been requested of the commuters to cooperate by avoiding or navigating the mentioned roads and utilising public transportation as much as possible.

It is recommended that individuals heading towards ISBTs, railway stations, or airports meticulously arrange their schedules and with ample time for travel, the advisory stated.
