The UAE was hit with unstable weather conditions last week and the country is currently dealing with the aftermath. If you live in Dubai and bank on the Dubai Metro for transportation, take note of these updates which will affect your travel plans.
Dubai’s Roads and Transportation Authority took to their official social media platform, X (previously called Twitter) to announce updates and station openings on the Red Line.
RTA announced the Red Line metro will operate from Centrepoint to Expo 2020 and UAE Exchange metro stations. However, it will not halt at Onpassive, Equiti, Mashreq and Energy.
It added that passengers coming from Centrepoint Metro Station will be asked to disembark at Business Bay Metro or Al Khail Metro. From here, you will be diverted to another metro or a bus which will take you to the next station. The transport authority added metro timings are affected and to expect delays.
Passengers are requested to follow directional signs and to cooperate with Dubai Metro and RTA staff. We also strongly urge you to share information and details on your respective stations with friends and family to keep them in the know.
Dubai Metro services are fully operating on the Green Line in both directions.

The extensive rainfall in the UAE yesterday has resulted in several business closures, with remote working and learning regulations issued for the rest of the week, as the country looks to recover from the impact.
